MISSION STATEMENT

Big Hit's highly anticipated debut solo album,

The Truth Is In My Eyes, (executive produced by his son Hit-Boy) is finally here. In 2014 following a near twenty year prison bid, Big Hit burst onto the scene with hit songs like "Grindin' My Whole Life" and the hood classic, "G'z Don't Cry." Unfortunately shortly after, Big Hit was sent back to prison for another nine year bid. During his time incarcerated, Big Hit spent his time writing raps on any papers that he could find preparing for the day he got out- and upon his release on May 5th, 2023, he went straight from his cell and to the booth.

Now, just over six months later and after appearing on nine of ten songs on Hit-Boy's Grammy nominated album,

"Surf or Drown, Vol. 2," Big Hit’s ready to release his long awaited debut solo album, "The Truth Is In My Eyes." Featuring 17 songs and the likes of rap heavyweights such as Snoop Dogg, The Alchemist, Benny The Butcher & more, it's clear that Big Hit and Hit-Boy have put their best foot forward.

Big Hit and Hit-Boy are both independent artists and everything for this album was done in-house via Surf Club. Big Hit wanted to ensure this album reached the hands of his supporters first, allowing them the opportunity to support him post incarceration. The album is available exclusively through Big Hit's Bandcamp at music.bighitnupid.com for $10, physical CD copies, and available on Jpay Tablets inside prisons nation-wide.

BIOGRAPHY

BIG HIT

Big Hit always knew that he was destined for greatness. The Pasadena native grew up in a two parent household where he was caught between two worlds: his mom was a devout Jehovah Witness and his dad embodied the “gangster”

narrative in the truest sense.

Hit’s fascination with hip-hop started to take form on the block. He burst onto the scene in the late ‘80s as a sharp-tongued battle rapper, participating in neighbourhood sessions here and there without fully committing to the art form.

As time went on, Hit had plans of honing his hustle (by any means necessary) but several run-ins with law enforcement derailed his pursuits. He spent the next 20 years of his life in prison.

Upon his release, Hit officially launched his rap career with “Grindin’ My Whole Life” and “G’z Don’t Cry” before being incarcerated again. After serving a 9-year sentence, Hit resurfaced with a renewed sense of purpose and a

different kind of ambition.

He survived Level IV prison in Los Angeles County (LAC), and since his release, Big Hit has been recording hits with his

son – 3X Grammy-winning producer Hit-Boy – like there’s no tomorrow. Each song, which includes “Reckless & Ratchet,” “Grindin’ My Whole Life, Pt. 2,” “Watch Out For The Riders” (which was released in partnership with Lowrider Magazine), “Boo Bop,” and most recently “Take Some Off Of That,” is a testament to Hit’s drive to succeed.

Now, with his debut solo album, The Truth Is In My Eyes, Big Hit is ready to take his career to the next level.
